Payment Policy

This page gives the payment rules in short points. Accepted methods, processing security, failed attempts, and refund timing are covered in order.

Accepted payment methods

Allhallow Trim accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards. Credit and debit versions of those cards are both supported.

PayPal is also accepted. Every online payment is processed through Stripe, including card and PayPal transactions.

Cash on delivery, bank transfer, cheque, and cryptocurrency are not supported. The checkout confirms the accepted method before the order is placed.

A card must carry one of the four supported network marks. A prepaid card may be declined when the issuer blocks online or cross-border purchases.

A payment question raised before checkout receives a direct answer. Email [email protected] when a method needs confirmation. The reply states whether the method can be used on this store.

  • Visa: accepted.
  • Mastercard: accepted.
  • American Express and Discover: accepted.
  • PayPal: accepted.
  • Cash on delivery, bank transfer, cheque, cryptocurrency: not accepted.

Card networks and Stripe

Card details are entered on a hosted page operated by Stripe. They pass to the processor rather than through Allhallow Trim systems.

PayPal payments are authorised on the PayPal site. The customer returns to the order with a payment confirmation.

Saved cards are not offered. Card verification may use 3-D Secure, and Allhallow Trim receives only the card brand and final four digits.

A PayPal-linked card stays within the PayPal account. Stripe records the approved transaction, while Allhallow Trim sees the payment result and order reference.

The hosted payment page carries its own secure connection. Closing that page before confirmation leaves the order unpaid.

  • Card processor: Stripe.
  • Entry point: Stripe hosted page.
  • PayPal: authorised on PayPal.
  • Saved cards: not available.
  • Visible card data: brand and last four digits.

When you are charged

A payment is authorised when the order is submitted. The completed charge occurs when the order is dispatched.

A pending hold may appear before dispatch. It is not a completed charge and disappears when an order is cancelled in time.

The checkout total is the amount charged. Sales tax follows the delivery address, and no card surcharge is added by Allhallow Trim.

An order cancelled before dispatch is voided rather than charged. The issuer releases any pending hold under its own timetable.

A partial dispatch does not create an extra payment request. The capture matches the confirmed order total. Any pricing error is handled before the parcel is dispatched.

  • Order submitted: authorisation requested.
  • Dispatch: payment captured.
  • Pending hold: not a completed charge.
  • Checkout total: final order amount.
  • Card surcharge: none.

Payment security

Stripe is certified to PCI-DSS Level 1. That standard covers the storage, transmission, and handling of card data.

Payment traffic is encrypted, and full card numbers do not reach Allhallow Trim servers or logs. The processor keeps the card data in its own secure environment.

Allhallow Trim never asks for a full card number, security code, or PayPal password by email. A message requesting those details should be reported.

The payment page uses processor-hosted fields rather than forms on the store server. Card data therefore moves between the customer and Stripe.

A suspicious message can be checked through [email protected]. Do not reply with card details or open a payment link from an unexpected email.

  • Processor standard: PCI-DSS Level 1.
  • Payment traffic: encrypted.
  • Card numbers on our servers: none.
  • Card data holder: Stripe.
  • Email requests for card details: treat as suspicious.

Declined payments

A declined payment creates no completed charge. The customer may retry with another accepted card or return with PayPal.

A pending authorisation from a failed attempt is released by the card issuer. The exact posting time depends on the bank.

Check the billing address and card limits before retrying. If the decline repeats, email [email protected] with the order reference and payment date.

The issuer may decline a payment for travel controls, identity checks, or an unusual spending pattern. That decision sits with the bank.

A retry should use the same order page and a valid method. Repeated attempts with the same blocked card usually produce the same result.

  • Decline: no completed charge.
  • Retry: another card or PayPal.
  • Pending hold: released by the issuer.
  • Repeat decline: check billing details.
  • Still stuck: email [email protected].

Refund route

A refund is issued to the original payment method within seven calendar days after the returned item passes inspection.

The bank or card issuer may need extra working days to show the credit. Allhallow Trim emails when the refund leaves our side.

Refunds cannot be sent to a different card, bank account, or cash pickup. A partial refund is itemised before it is released.

A PayPal-funded order returns to the same PayPal account. A card-funded order returns to the card network that handled the original payment.

The refund message states the amount and the method. Keep that message if the credit does not appear after the issuer's normal posting time.

  • Refund period: seven calendar days after inspection.
  • Destination: original payment method.
  • Issuer posting: extra working days.
  • Alternate account: not permitted.
  • Partial refund: itemised.

Payment help

Email [email protected] with the order reference when a payment looks wrong. Include the payment date and amount when available.

A reply is normally sent within one working day. The answer states what Stripe reported and what the next step should be.

For an unrecognised charge, contact the bank as well as Allhallow Trim. A card can be protected while the payment record is checked.

A screenshot of the bank entry can help identify a pending hold, duplicate display, or completed charge. Do not send full card numbers.

A payment issue caused by a bank rule is explained plainly. Allhallow Trim cannot override an issuer block or speed up its release process.

  • Help address: [email protected].
  • Include: order reference, date, amount.
  • Reply target: one working day.
  • Unknown charge: contact bank and Allhallow Trim.
  • Resolution: confirmed in writing.
